Mais Yeah / Yeah Ya Right
My practice explores the dualistic nature of Gulf Coast Louisiana through place, memory, religion, culture and the idea of home. With these themes I illustrate the commonality that exists within cultures that are increasingly told to be at odds stretching from Acadiana to New Orleans. My goal is to create images that bridge and serve as a setting for the possibility of common ground in divided times.
Bio
I am a lens based artist specializing in 19th, 20th and 21st century photographic processes. My practice is based in New Orleans where I live with my wife and business partner Rachel Armentor. Together we own and operate St Veronica’s Photography, an art consulting company.
I am a Gulf Coast native and boudin connoisseur devoted to narrative. Whether working in personal practice, commercial or film production I create with a concept first approach, strengthening an images ability to be a better story teller.
